About The Study

Building on the regional interest to embrace emerging technologies and to expand public transportation options across Middle Tennessee, the Greater Nashville Regional Council (GNRC), WeGo Public Transit, and the Tennessee Department of Transportation have kicked-off the South Corridor Transportation Study to help turn recent transportation plans into shovel ready projects that can modernize area roadways and address growing traffic congestion and safety concerns.

The South Corridor Transportation Study is intended to develop a series of short-, mid-, and long-term recommendations to implement a vision for transportation and rapid transit between Nashville, Berry Hill, Oak Hill, Brentwood, Franklin, Thompson’s Station, Spring Hill, and Columbia, as well as other neighborhoods, communities, employment centers, and destinations along the south corridor.
